He has played in all levels of polo across the world and been producing ponies to play of the highest calibre. Amber Gibbs

For the past 7 years Amber has been either managing polo clubs around the world or been presenting ponies at the highest level of the sport and is the crucial behind the scenes support for City to Surf Polo. She plays occasionally, but Ollie (their son) now takes up most of her spare time and energy. Contact Amber

The Ponies

The polo pony is the heart and soul of our sport and business and as such their welfare is paramount to us.

All our polo ponies are either thoroughbreds which have come off the track and been re-trained by us to play or they are purpose bred for polo.

The polo pony is an amazing animal that must be quiet and relaxed yet have a competitive nature with speed and agility to boot. It takes many hours of work to produce a horse with all these traits and we take great pride in our ponies.

The Place

City to Surf Polo is based on a 200 acre farm ‘Coramba Downs’, in the heart of the Surf Coast Shire. We run around 40 polo ponies at any one time, along with a small cattle operation. From here we travel to polo clubs all over the State and Country playing and giving lessons and clinics as well as doing the same at home.
